The Macon County Coalition for Community Advancement (MCCCA) supports a collaborative effort among various agencies in Macon County to deliberately and systematically reduce substance abuse in the community. These agencies have examined the local and PRIDE data to identify and assess community needs relative to substance abuse.

MCCCA was established in January 2005, to address the comprehensive community needs surrounding substance abuse prevention. The coalition currently maintains a membership of approximately 111, which consists of recruited stakeholders across community domains. A mission statement was established through the coalition to the guide to focus of planning efforts:

Dr. Ellis M. Hall, Chairman

Dr. Henry J. Findlay, Vice-Chair & Financial Liaison
